This product is a continuous development of an invention I did five years ago. Sheets of foam are melted and compressed, when cooled the compressed layer becomes hard again, resulting in a tough surface. During the melting process all sorts of open textiles can be melted along creating reinforcements to improve on strength and flexibility, but it is also great for decoration. Any lace can be used.
The tile is lightweight and insulating (sound and temperature) and is also waterproof.
The tiles can be glued on any surface. The latest innovation is the shaping
in three dimensions of the material when hot. All sorts of shapes and surface
structures can be obtained by using moulds. The material can be used in all sorts
of applications. Patent 1027128NL.
Apart from the basic patterns and shapes custom designs are possible.
